Permalink Reply by Dorothy Peer Promiscuo on August 9, 2012 at 6:57am Wow, awesome!!!! The first one reminds me of a throw rug--the pattern is so intricate. I can't imagine a couple of guys with boards creating this one. The second, although much more simple by comparrison, is also interesing. Thanks for sharing, Chris--love these crop circles, L&L, D

Permalink Reply by Carol Fazakas on August 9, 2012 at 7:26am The intricate pattern has no beginning and no ending. It reminds me of England's round abouts!
It is certainly an a-maze-ing crop circle.
I have wondered about these little circles as well and have an idea that they might be a kind of signature, because not all the crop circles have these. There seem to be styles to the artwork. Take the ones that have the intricately braided borders. They are unique in designing.

Permalink Reply by Carol Fazakas on August 9, 2012 at 7:29am There is some kind of festivity going on in the field near by. Does anyone know what this might be? I wonder if the patterns have anything to do with this?
Permalink Reply by Paula Ciasullo Nolin on August 9, 2012 at 7:34am I love these Chris.....the first one is so meticulously crafted...how could anyone think that a human could design and execute. Love the simplicity of the circle....paula.cn

And Carol - I noticed the festival nearby too (kinda looks like a music festival of some type)... With all those people nearby, you'd think someone would have noticed something - though it looks like none of them have spotted anything (at the time these photos were taken), otherwise they'd be flocking to the formations in droves. They all seem rather oblivious - not a single person there! Interesting.

Permalink Reply by Pamela Heyen on August 9, 2012 at 9:02am Now this "weave" impresses me! There is little doubt in my mind that such an intricate design could be made by a bunch of pranksters...although, I am still not convinced that the government has not got in on the act with some of these. I don't feel that energy on some of these like I did with earlier ones.....sometimes it just feels a little off! Thanks Chris!!
Permalink Reply by Illumination OV Admin on August 9, 2012 at 9:36am I can't find any information on the show/fair in the background but I did find some interesting facts: Cheesefoot Head is a large natural amphitheatre (also known as Matterley Bowl) and beauty spot. There are three Bowl Barrows on the site.
During the Second World War events were held here for the entertainment of American troops stationed locally, and prior to D-Day, General Eisenhower addressed those troops.
Cheesefoot Head is regularly the site of crop circles. A local farmer has seen formations appearing since 1922!
Apparently a few years ago, a TV crew including scientists and others, experienced some mystifying events here, so much that it was investigated by police and reached the ears of the UK government. It's quite long and complicated but for those interested here is the link:

Permalink Reply by Carol Fazakas on August 9, 2012 at 10:06am Thank you , Illumination, for the link and info...sounds very interesting. and as OM says , a curiosity that no one has spotted the cop circles as there are no people walking them in the picture. Imagine walking that maze !
