Sometimes, when you copy a block of content from another site and paste it into a blog, discussion or text box, you will find that colours don't fit the new background. Usually, they will be too dark to read.
To fix this, paste the content you wish to post and see what it looks like. Then if there are colors you wish to change, switch to HTML view and copy ALL the code you see, then paste that code into a Wordpad document (or other text editor).
Don't worry if it all looks like hierogyphics to you.
Let's say the offending color is BLUE. Somewhere in the code you will see instances of statements that say color="blue"
Now do a global replace in the document -changing every instance of the term color="blue" to color="yellow" (or whatever colour will show up better).
Do this for all the colours you wish to change.
Now, just copy ALL the code back into the HTML view, swicth back to normal view and take a look.
You should now have a readable document.
NOTE: Sometimes, the colours are noted as HEX values eg color="#3452af". In this case, replace these codes with #ffffff (which is white) or #000000 (black) - whatever suits the purpose.
Well you could take your eraser out and crayon the rest in for us "old schoolers," :)
