There has never been a guitar player the likes of Jimi Hendrix. The 1st time I saw Jimi, I was lucky enough to be sitting on stage about 3-4 feet from him. Just watching him tune up his guitar I was mesmerized. Of course the pot I was smoking, (in fact offered him a toke) at the time I'm sure helped a bit. It's kind of hard to explain but I'll try.Watching and listening to Hendrix that night, I realized by the way he played, and his grace, the way he moved and seemed to feel the music, spread through the audience like electricity! This man, was what it was all about. do I think he was a prophet, yes. Just by listening to Hendrix, (being a musician myself) I could hear his roots were buried in the likes of southern blues. Musicians like Albert King, Buddy Guy. Jimi had the gift of starting out with one thing and adding another part and then another, until he had an orchestral sound coming out of one instrument. BTW I also think that he showed people the guitar was just not something to be strummed, but elevated the guitar to the level of an instrument. He was so far ahead of his time, died (I think was offed by the cabal) at the age of 27. Like so many other rock stars. 2+7=9 (9 in numerology means completion) If you would like to know more about how many rock stars died at age 27 (you will be amazed) check out R Gary Patterson's work. Maybe you've been lucky enough to catch him on Coast to Coast, or read one of his books. I have had the pleasure of seeing so many musicians in my day, but never has anyone brought me to the heights that Jimi did. He will be missed!
He died September 18th= 9 also Many others were sacrficed. Thanks for sharing
