Mystery Picture From Icarus Spacecraft.

A strange object flying close to the sun looks unnervingly like a huge, metallic 'mothership' familiar from Hollywood blockbusters.

The picture was released by Nasa's sun-watching Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, known as SOHO - and has become an immediate cult hit on the internet.

UFO fan site News Gather said: 'An unusually shaped, gigantic UFO was spotted on the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) and posted in a video on YouTube.'

‘The unidentified flying object, which bears no resemblance to anything ever spotted near the Sun, somehow manages to withstand the blazing heat thrown off by solar flare activity and the incredibly high temperatures emanating from nuclear fusion generated on the surface of the star. What is it?' asked the site.

UFO fans on YouTube have been highly enthusiastic about the object, with many claiming it as a definite 'spot'.

SOHO, the Solar & Heliospheric Observatory, is a satellite built to study the Sun from its deep core to the outer corona and the solar wind.

SOHO was launched on December 2, 1995.

The twelve instruments on board SOHO communicate with large radio dishes around the world which form NASA's Deep Space Network are used for data downlink and commanding.

‘The video shows what looks like a metallic, jointed spaceship with a gigantic extension, perhaps a boom arm, anchored off its lower end.

I took a screenshot and added light to it and you can see another part of the ship. It has another third arm that goes down. So strange. Keep up the great work,' says one UFO fan.

Others are more sceptical, claiming such artefacts are often the product of distortion hitting SOHO's sensors.

‘There is no way this object is merely vapour, as the shape of it is rigidly straight and grooved and appears to be manufactured in some way,' says the UFO fan site. 'Also, there seems to be some intelligent design involved. It's beyond human engineering to create.'

Fascinating ! I am wondering why we haven't seen more of this size of craft near our sun. Another post not long ago suggested the sun was a star gate (triangular shaped).

The idea that any metal we know couldn't withstand the heat may suggest that these craft are not from 3d space but from 4th or 5th where environmental conditions may be different.

try to debunk this skeptics on the anderson cooper talk show he had a short segment about

ufos ET how many people came forward believed had encounters about star families good show

so things might be gearing up I believe billions believe

Not sure if that link would work but google soho movie theater if dont. Lasco 2 and 3 are telescopes with the best live feed. There was what appeared to be a sungrazer coming up in the same quadrant the day before, but instead of getting brighter it dulled off as it approached. There was also a sizable flare just after 8.12am.

The sun is flaring a lot this year, look at the first two weeks of march to see my point. I will see if can find the date of footage of the dark ball that sucks up a filament from the surface before appearing to fly off.

makes me think is the notion of Advanced Symbiotic Technology the reason why these objects can withstand the heats rays from the sun or possibly????

Here we are 11-12 march 2012.

It was during a forthnight that there was huge a matter storm. Look up the lasco3 starting from the 7th march lasting until the 15th. It is quite a frightening storm of a large magnitude. Think how easy it is to hide a noisy burglery in storm.

The planet mercury can look like disc when it is in conjunction.

Dont get me wrong i believe in extra terrestials, i am sure I have met two. However I dont think they are ordinaryly visable in this membrane under the frequencies standard science knows about. I am as beware of the new religion of alien worship as I am of the old religion of demons and angels. what can look like emaculate beings can be something quite sinster, and just because it appeals to human egos becuase it looks good doesn't mean it is.

I think it is called ascended thinking.

So many opinions leading to so many different conclusions, and yet many thoughts are leading to one.

Quantum thoughts is needed now, and all of you are delivering them quite well.

I love to watch all of us think and not accept one view of an infinite question like the one that has been presented here now.

To find the way ask nothing of the mystery itself.

Wait and have patience and as the mystery passes you by, turn slightly and observe the answer which is written on its back.

This is wisdom.

All of you are so close to finding the answer, your eyes may betray you, yet the answer to the mystery you already know.

ok look at this one, there is footage on youtube that makes it out to be donut, the original footage is more vague. There is some thing there. Soho lasco telescope has been switched off, so has website contected a japanese telescope this week. odd coincidence. The object is in the bottom left courner. http://stereo-ssc.nascom.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/images if the search tool isnt working for you, object has been there for the last 5 days at least visable on cor1 behind, you will have leave the date boxes blank and just push search.
