Hi Dorothy ~
Something that I discovered a while ago that really helps me is to be glad that friends care enough about me to have me react.
First it shows me where I still need to grow...
Second, when I am grateful for them being my teachers, I am not in an energy of resistance. Frustration is an energy that holds resistance. Any emotion in the negative feelings range holds resistance. This resistance is sometimes referred to as polarity energy, which means that it pushes against...(something). It also means that so long as you are holding that energy in consciousness you will not be able to enter your Heart Space.
Forgive yourself for holding that energy. Forgiveness releases the resistance factor that holds you back from accessing your Heart Space.
If events engage your ego into action, you can be sure that you will have a struggle on your hands as egos always want to be right...and safe...and in your head. *smile*
The lessons of our third dimension of reality are all about the ego and self awareness. We need to have these completed before we get to live full time in our Heart Space.
(For any of you that just groaned, thinking this is not a possibility, it truly is possible. It requires you to have learned how to fully accept and love yourself. It has absolutely nothing to do with perfection and safety)

I understand what you're saying, Carol about forgiving myself for my negative emotions, and about friends caring enough about me to have me react, but sadly, I don't think they (two different friends--the incidents weren't connected) were trying to get a reaction out of me, their behavior simply disappointed me, frustrated me, hurt me. I have since realized that they were having their own issues, but even so, in each instance I felt let down.
Suffice to say, I let my negative emotions get the best of me when I should have realized that they each owned their problem and were simply projecting it outwards. It's hard not to react to disappointments and frustrations, but like you say, it does help to forgive myself for my negative emotions. I might not be able to do it right away, but little by little, I'm (usually) able to get there after some conversations with myself. Negative emotions take up energy--there's just no place for them in my Heart Space. Blessed be, dear heart, Love and Light, always, Dot

Hi Dorothy !
When I said that your friends were your teachers, very often that is not known or understood on the conscious level of both our self or the other. Being mind-full that what we carry around vibrationally will continue to attract to us like nature, we will keep attracting what we hold within us as beliefs...our rules that govern our behavior and how we think others should also behave...and values that hold judgments on both ourselves and others....until all we are carrying around is the Heart Space energy that we love to attract.
All of this will continually show up for us until we get the lesson.... Those who do the behavior and those who hold beliefs , values and judgments about the behavior who become the teachers and may also be the students too! It, however, is never for us to tell them how they should be. We can only change our self. When we lose sight of that, we will be faced with it until we remember.
It is a real learning when we are disappointed in someone else because they are not doing what we need them to do for us to feel ok. It is lovely if they do it but that usually only comes when we no longer hold that expectation in others' behaviors. Most are still governed by their ego. Ego is very changeable. I am sure you have noticed that. Where we need to hold our faith and hope is in the deep connection with our Higher Self. The Love and true support comes from that Source. When you are in your Heart Space, you connect with your Source/Higher Self there. It is our connection with the Divine. Egos try to find it in each other...not recognizing and allowing reconnection with HS.
Take a good long look at the nature of the frustration and disappointment and what you were really seeking. It helps to unwind the ropes that binds us to ego and all its' beliefs about this reality. It is never about slaying or getting rid of our Ego but gently helping it to find its' perfect place in our system that it was created to fulfill.
Loving...Accepting...and Allowing... one another... place and space to be and learn without judgment and criticism and frustration. That is such a gift to both give and receive.

Oh, I so agree, Carol--everyone is our teacher, and everyone is our student--it's just that when I get into a situation where someone treats me as if they are angry or annoyed with me for some reason--yet I don't know what it is, as I know I didn't (would never) do anything to intentionally offend them, I'm baffled by their behavior, as well as saddeded. Even though I know they are responsible for their actions, and I should not be offended, I still (sometimes) let my emotions get the best of me and worry the situation around in my head until I find (as always happens) it wasn't about me at all--the person was dealing with an unpleasant issue in their own life and simply (and not even intentionally) took it out on me. I guess when we know this instinctively and are able to put these unpleasant situations out of our mind without worrying about them, we have truly arrived at the place we needed to be all along. Yes, loving, accepting and allowing one another to be who we are at any given time without judging the situation--I do believe that's the key. I KNOW THAT I CAN DO THIS. THAT'S WHY I'M HERE.
