I totally agree with you, that being here would be far different for me now had I not gone thru the experiences in early childhood that I did. It took a lot of struggling to get to a point of letting go of anger and judgement and resistance about it all even judging myself for having chosen such a 'stupid path' What could I have been thinkng ! lol well that thought is out of the way. i know that the easy road will keep the binders on earth dwellers because they have had no reason to search for truth or who they are as they are satisfied or at least think they are. lol We who have gone the bumpy path are the lucky ones for it is this very thing that shattered our illusion of being here in such a way that it could never be put back together again...kind of like humpty  dumpty. Once the crack is there in the cosmic egg and we get to see outside the shell, life is never the same. There is no going back. I am so truly grateful for that....and  am truly grateful for where I am now, living mostly in my Heart Space...and I smile thining that this is truly with grace and ease without the illusion.

Saying all this, I doubt I would be here having this wonderful conversation with you right now..and to me this gift is priceless. Thank you for being willing to go thru what you went thru so that we could meet....and speak heart to heart.

Hi Carol,
Thanks for the comment. I agree with you. It is a blessing that we can perceive our ego self. At the end it is gratitude that opens the door to the Higher Self. It can be towards anything the ego self, others or to the experiences itself. The only problem is that if the attitude of gratitude is another game of the ego to create a protective shield around itself then it vampire-ize energy from the heart space. Then the ego self will continue to play other games. If it feels fine for one , that's fine..... I appreciate that the gratitude and compassion are stupendous step stones towards ascension. The sense of self exists only in separateness and that needs perceptions and experiences. It is the movement of consciousness perceived by consciousness.

Hi Mathew ~

Yes it does all of that..and even those of us who came in remembering and went thru these trying experiences were challenged to move past and into our heart space..but do you know what? We did it..and others are in the space of doing their clearing and awakening now. How amazing is that!

I am so grateful to my ego self for taking on a job it was never designed or intended to do. It got me to this place. I survived and so did you..for look at you now. Here you are in all your brilliance, shining your light.

Our egos have been getting a bad rap considering all they have done...and they have tried so hard to do it perfectly. ; )  Have you noticed? I love and hold my ego self in such                   tenderness and appreciation for all  it has done for me for without it I would not be here right now.

With true appreciation comes compassion...and deep knowing and a quietude enters the mind. When we are in this space of compassion, at the same time we can no longer be in a place of resistance and judging. They can not co-exist.

So resisting and judging ego only takes you out of your heart space.

I agree that life is in part made up of experiences yet for me it is more than that. It is consciousness itself and energy that en-livens. Life is filled with spirit.

Hard experiences in life:

Most people had hard experiences in life, it may be a relationship breakdown, being cheated of money or valuables, etc.

How can we relate hard experiences to spirituality?

How we can gain spiritually from hard experiences?

Hard experiences gives the individual personality an anchor to loom around which creates a state of victimized ego.  Emotional attachment to the concept of succex, failure, goals and desires all gives different colour to the personal ego mind.  This ego, if not objectively observed make you alienate from the real self.  So it is important to get out of this puzzle.You are a pure being of consciousness having or going through the experience as a human being.  Enrich yourself from any of the hard experiences in life.  Let us not loss the focus from the real self.  Real self is your I AM presence. It does not get influenced by life turmoil.  It is the interpretation of experiences and the surrounding beliefs and concepts that matters.  If that make you suffer, reduce your light and love, rip you off your sense of freedom and celebration, then it is time to rethink.   The irony here is that without experiences there is no life at all.  Life itself is a series of life experiences.  Who am I in these experiences? Just ponder on it.................................................................................

Hi Patty ~

I would love to hear more of what you find interesting about this subject.

For me many of us including myself, have never learned to honour and love ourselves as children and it is only thru hearing from others that we firstly come tot he realization that we don't...then learn how to love our selves then learn how to be open and accept it from others. When it comes from our Higher Self there comes a very deep resonance of coming home...when we have moved thru the many levels. Sometimes that takes years or even lives and sometimes it only takes moments. Everyone is different.
