I do like parts of it, but not it's totality. I do like the celestial part, except that it makes me think of a UFO organization, because the disc shaped light looks UFO like. But I see that you are putting forth that we are all universally one. I would like it to have the WOW factor, that would radiate, Beauty, Love,  I'm not comfortable with the way the welcome sign. LOL It feels sort of circus-like or commercial I guess. I would like to feel something MORE Spiritual and Esocteric with the home page and thru out. I would like to vibrate more of LOVE.

Rick, unfortunately the old opening line was a bit nonsensical to visitors (ie non members) in that there is no way we could possibly know who they are, so saying that "they have been chosen" sounds a bit silly.

Very very nice, I like it alot, but there is one thing that bothers me a little. It used to read a tthe top of the page: You Have Been Chosen to Change the World

 

I always liked that opening line and feel the new one is a little less powerful.

It's better than the previous one! One thing I would Improve on would be a Black back ground

with the planets and stars in color! That would be fantastic. IMHO .. {:-)

It seems that eyes and eye muscles can cause all sorts of problems David. Not surprising really and it reminds us to think holistically - not everyone is the same. Blessings

Chris, I think the new layout is an improvement; I like the Header panel – appropriately celestial – and as we all come from the stars am happy with the side panels. I appreciate the comments by Candace re contrast. My eyes have been round the sun 69 times so too much background colour and contrast do appear to interfere with the legibility of text. Something akin to the conflict between ambient sound and tinnitus which obscures some speech tones. The grey tone of the text is soothing, and the background grey is about right, but the concentric arcs of the pattern design make the eyes jump a bit. I would propose that a softening of the background pattern might improve it further – something like the modified version here. Sorry, Ringo, but your suggestion would take us back to sore eyes. I know this is a bit like parents warning that too much exposure to heavy metal can damage the ears, but we have to make do with our present bodies until we can get new ones, and it makes sense to look after them. It's about loving ourselves. Rant over. By the way, I too come from a design background, more textured than patterned!

Hi Candace

I turned 60 this year and I have problems with my eyes due to a neurological condition but this design is just perfect. I find it much, much clearer. Where I would have problems is when things are flashing on and off. It's not photoepilepsy it just makes my eyes want to close and gives me double-vision. Blessings

Candace, I'm over 50, yet this one doesn't bother me, and I also work on website design as well. If it's contrast is too black to the white then it bothers me, and bright colors bother me too, but this one is subtle. Maybe you need to get use to it, and you can lower the light on your pc to make it dimmer so it won't bother you which I'm sure you know.

The design and graphics are okay, and nice to see an update there. What I notice is something very basic about functionality that many designers are unaware of. (By the way I do plenty of design work and have an art degree) It is simply this: As people's eyes get older they tend to have difficulty reading white text on black/dark background. Younger eyes and minds don't give a moment's thought to this because it is not an issue. I am 50. It is, in fact an issue for me and many people my age.

I agree with Bruce about the perfect Header, but I also agree with Ringo about the rather dull black/gray background. We can get used to it?

The Header is just perfect for this site, catches your attention. The color combo with the pink stars,...."pink", grey, blue, black, a little questionable. The layout, format, the structured order of it all, just great!!
