HEART CRYSTAL
Marooned on my island
in a forest far away
I feel the need to make a stand
not just sit and pray
By the riverbank I am inspired
to hatch a charm for you today
an ember fire of heart’s desire
a little passion play
So I fashion me a little raft
from leaf of withered weed
and cradle in this curly craft
my tiny crystal seed
I nudge the fragile woven boat
towards the foaming stream
bobbing up and down it floats
like borne by hands unseen
I watch the current swiftly bear
the precious cargo shining bright
down roiling water stairs
and headlong out of sight
O pray it finds a peaceful shore
a little bay with yellow sand
to beach it safely at your feet
be plucked up by your hand
A craft of love for you to meet
If on the shore you roam
A treasure you can ever keep
and make your heart its home
Abiding there to grow and swell
'til bursting like a ripened pod
it fills the spaces where you dwell
with beauty, blessings, living gods
Thy inner core it pulses bright
the sanctum now is found
forever to be filled with light
and crystal chimes of sound
