In the beginning we are planting new seeds that grow via education... always learning.
Later we take those new potatoes and add heat via work and create a vocation.
Then we mash those potatoes together and create a way of life.
Even later if we are lucky we add the gravy... a few more years of peace in which we look back and decide... if it was all worth while.

There are many benefits to living a simple life... here are just a few.
If we live a frugal life and need little, then we have less stress and that means we have less cortisol and adrenalin flowing through our body... and that means a powerful immune system that prevents disease, thus we live longer and feel more at peace.
What good is it to work long hours to have more... only to be stressed out to the max and end up dying early.…Continue

The Dalai Lama gets up in the very early morning hours, meditates, chants, does 100 prostrations (which are squat down, move forward and lay flat and the back to squatting position and then stand up again) and then he runs 5 to 10 miles barefoot on his treadmill.
Then he has all the rest of his duties that he needs to do everyday. - and he's in his 80's.
Rituals and willpower are important.

As we move from fear to confusion we are like a leaf changing colors but still clinging to our old ideals.
But in our youth the winds of mystical experience (love) fills the mind and we let go, in ecstasy for a moment we take flight... touching upon the waters of discontent with peace.
As the water calms... and the pace of life slows... we find contentment in being.
Once more a drift we…Continue

Many times we feel we keep trying without getting anything in return, and that wears us out to the point that we look up at God and saying “When Will I Get My Fair Share”.
Thus suffering is created.
If we expect something... we never have grace.
Every spiritual text says, “You will get what you need” not what you want, and what you need may not always be what…Continue

Learning is moving through one challenge after another without losing enthusiasm for life. You may find it easier said than done, yet that’s what being a tool for God, Tao, and Universe is all about... instead of being a tool for money, fame, and prestige.
Many of us get up in the morning and the first things that pops into our head is how am I going to make more money, or make my business create more income, or how am I going to create more wealth. That’s…Continue

Hundreds of thousands of Near Death Experiences and the Out of Body Experiences have been looked at with great scrutiny.
Cases where people are able to look down from above and remember everything that was said and done in the operating room, the waiting room, and the room down the hall. And even noticing a blue tennis shoe outside a thirds story window with a scuff mark on the side, and the lace tucked under the heel. Then someone finds that shoe to…Continue

“What exciting thing do you want to try today?”
You’re the one... that…Continue

A young woman commits suicide and has a near death experience.
This is her experience:
“I was at peace with myself and everything. Nothing hurt at all in my whole being. I felt alive, more alive than ever, I could only see my life and everything through a veil of love. I did not feel terrible about myself at all, including the fact that I had killed myself. My death was changed by the power of Truth…Continue

Each day is a process of learning to love the ONE we see in the mirror.
To accept that everything is part of the ONE and thus we are to… heal thy self and everyone else... and the Universe. And that all things are living, sentient, and have consciousness... and that we are all interconnected.
The trials and tribulations that we go through help us grow as spiritual beings. Helping us move towards the light within our heart.
Allowing the darkness of…Continue

If we trust those around us we thrive.
If we trust the ones we love, relationships thrive.
If we trust the ones we work with, we do our best.
If we trust our friends, our friendships grow.
If we trust our gut, it keeps us out of trouble.
If we trust in something bigger than ourselves (God) we have hope.
If we trust our heart then we are happy.
And if we trust the world around us……Continue

Fill your life with virtue and your cup will over flow.
Fill your life with mischief and your cup will also over flow.
Like chaff that blows in the wind… and ends up in ones face… a fool will harm others.
Live your life with peace and love so you never have to close your eyes in fear of what’s coming!

Gene Roddenberry - The Star Trek Way of Life
In India they recommend that we go to bed at 10PM and get up at 6AM.
To meditate first thing in the morning... and last thing before bed.
To keep the mind connected to that which is imperishable.
To find peace through the breath... breathing with long breathes in and out, that allowing the vital energy of the body to flow.
To eat simply... vegetarian with yogurt, nuts, and lentils, as the main sources of…Continue
