"The Relaxed Soul Learns Like Water"

When water flows over a rock and water falls from the sky on dry soil, one takes in the water and nourishes the plants creating great fields of wheat, while the other lets it all flow by.

This too is like our spirit --- when we are ready the right experience comes along allowing us to learn the lesson needed for the growth of our soul and ease the grip of ego.

This happens over and over again through the eons until…

"The Relaxed Soul Stops"

We call everything according to what we have decided and scientifically proven, but when a dragonfly lights on a wire and looks for a mosquito does it know its name?

Thus when a learned man talks of the stars, moon, and the planets does he know more than a man who has never gone to school but still looks up at the stars with great awe sharing it all with his lover?

Does an elephant call her baby by name? Or does it mean more to…

"The Relaxed Soul is a Joy-Ease"

Everyone has heard of disease and how disease can spread from one person to another.

But what about being a joy-ease, spreading the contagion of joy from one person to another with the sense of a virus that takes off and lights the world a fire.

I am amazed sometimes just how easy it is to spread joy. Just saying something nice to the clerk at the grocery store; at the toll booth; paying for the next guy in line at the…

Herbal Tip - July 27th, 2010

Mountain Ash is a tree that grows in the Northern Hemisphere and the leaves and flower are used in a tea that is great for diarrhea and hemorrhoids. And the tea can also be used as a gargle for sore throats and vaginal discharge. Plus the berries can be made into a great jam that also works well for diarrhea ---- the seeds are toxic so make sure you remove the seeds when making jam.

"The Relaxed Soul Can Look in the Mirror"

When we help people by being a doctor, nurse, minister, grocer, and baker we are making a social impact on our children and our community.

Different from say working as a owner of a bar, selling drugs, pushing fast food, or anything else that damages our children, community, and causes problems for the future and nature.

Spiritual progress depends on our willingness to look within and not be willing to sell the…

"The Relaxed Soul Plows Home"

In my home town of Woodland,

California there is a tale of a wagon master

pulling his team of oxen through the area.

The area was so thick with trees that one of

the oxen knocked off a horn trying to get through

the thick brush, but even so they kept moving forward.

That is the same way we have to be with our life,

we can't let all the little distractions detour

us from what we want out of life, be…

"The Relaxed Soul Moves Forward"

Knowing we have much to learn
and learning shows our strength of character,
and when we don't allow ourselves to learn we show our weaknesses.

Enlightenment is knowing our weaknesses add to our strength,
thus keeping ourselves from the pain
of succumbing to the dis-ease of the mind.

"Oh God, I will always keep learning"

"The Relaxed Soul Can See His Conditioning"

A study was done many years ago where they raised kittens from birth in a room with vertical strips until adulthood. Then they put the kittens in a room with horizontal stripes and they could not stand up. They were so conditioned that their world was vertical that they could not understand horizontal.

We are the same way, we just don't know it!

Imagine being raised in a world where everyone thought that the…

Herbal Tip - July 21, 2010

Maca Root is one of those herbs that I recommend all the time. It seems to balance the hormonal system of women and help with stamina and endurance. Maca contains Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids, Sterols, and Fatty Acids that are needed for hormonal production. And Maca has no stimulating… Continue

"The Relaxed Soul Makes Room"

Like two giant sequoia trees they both need light to grow and provide nourishment to the forest creatures. Not even a fire can keep their love from growing for it only speeds their growth so that even more siblings of their great stature can take root in the midst of flame.

Remember --- come together but make sure that your love does not smother the one you love, for true love only wants them to grow tall in their own light as god…

"The Relaxed Soul is Aware of His Body"

While I was in the hospital recovery room I noticed everyone's heart rate was between 80 and 110 beats per minute. So I started meditating and lowered my heart rate down to 43 beats per minute, normally I can get my heart rate down to 39 beats per minute, but I was not at home in my chair.

The mind is very powerful and has complete control over the body, and we can control every aspect of our body if we are willing to take…

"The Relaxed Soul Does More"

A man said that if he took time to meditate, he felt he was being lazy because he was not active.

But after he started meditating for a week he could see the results of being more relaxed, focused, less stressed, feeling connected to what was important, and having more energy ---- he found that that wasn't the case.

He found that the more time he put into meditation the more he accomplished and be better he felt about…
