This is regarding a request from Hitomi (my partner in Japan) and some 2,500 local residents of Mukugoaka (Sakai City) and I do not know what else to do but ask if anyone could say a prayer or do a remote energy request or something to assist in this matter ? I really do not know what else to do!
Any help in this matter would be *greatly* appreciated!
In the very center of the township of Mukugoaka, there is a 2 acre lake that has been preserved for hundreds of years and was originally used for water supply when the area was just rice paddys.
This is an aerial view of it from Google Earth:
For centuries, it has been protected by the community head (equivalent of our Major) but "western influences" - which the Japanese people are trying SO hard to counter - have brought in various industrial interests that are viewing this area as a potential money-making opportunity in getting rid of the lake and putting in shops and so forth.
Some 2,500 residents have created a petition and backed by the Major, they are trying desperately to retain this lake but the forces of profiteering are strong. Due to her position in the community and influence, Hitomi has been unanimously "elected" as the spokesperson for the group and has been battling these enterpreneurs for months in order to retain the lake.
Hitomi has asked me if there is anything I can do from my end. Not being even a local resident or even a Japanese Citizen, I really wasn't able to respond with much of an answer! However, it seems that the Japanese believe very much in the spiritual and when I said that there might be a possibility that I could get some prayers sent to assist, her and the others in the team seemed to consider this a very powerful gesture - much more so than I did.
I am therefore asking if any of you could possibly say a prayer on this matter or, as I believe is possible - do a "remote energy" thing (or whatever it is you can do! :-), could you please help us in this endeavour ? I always find it a great shame when industry manages to wipe out nature in the name of money...
On behalf of Hitomi Kawasaki and the residents of Mukugoaka, we thank you for reading this and pray we can overcome these forces!
