So weird because I was telling my boyfriend it will be the anniversary soon of that crop circle who brought me to this site in the first place, TODAY! I told him earlier this morning and it was completely random.. I told him how it was an incomplete Merkaba or somethiung and how I dreamt it was shown in the stars to me by UFOs... Anyways so random you wrote this today. Also I noticed a post earlier in the week by you and thought how funny your star flower.. :)

Hi Star Flower - Hope the Ouija Board story didn't creep you out too much. :-) There were, indeed, some creepy moments but for the most part it was just an utterly fascinating experience.

Thanks for picking up a copy of The Ezekiel Code. I hope it brings you hours of entertainment. It's not your run-of-the-mill type of novel in that it's the only novel ever written (at least that I know of) in which English gematria serves as the plot device that drives the story. That being the case, there are a lot of gematria phrases and numbers throughout the book. That fact alone turned a lot of people off, especially if they were looking for a more conventionally written novel. For example, there are places in the book where entire pages are filled with gematria phrases and their numerical values. Readers who are particularly into that sort of thing actually liked being able to delve into the details of the gematria. What I should have done, however, was to put a disclaimer as a "forward" to the story to let readers know it's not necessary to read every line of gematria on those pages in order to keep up with the flow of the story. Or I could have simply summarized the gematria in those sections of the story and then included the full pages of gematria in an appendix at the back of the book for people who might be interested in the details. But, it was my first attempt at writing a novel and it just didn't occur to me to do that. Like the old saying goes, hindsight is 20/20. :-)

My latest novel on Kindle, Ash: Return Of The Beast, is written in a much more conventional style, it's only half the size of The Ezekiel Code and it moves along at a quicker pace. But where The Ezekiel Code is a story full of amazing incidents on the side of the "Light", Ash is quite the opposite. It's a dark and disturbing tale of ritual magick, revenge and murder.

Ash was inspired by something I stumbled onto at a second-hand bookstore. I was browsing the shelves and noticed a biography of Aleister Crowley, the early 20th century occultist. The biographer mentioned that Crowley was cremated upon his death in England in 1947 and the urn containing his ashes was sent to a man named Karl Germer in New Jersey. Germer put the urn into a specially made box and buried it beneath an oak tree in his yard. Sometime later he decided to move to California and he wanted to bring the urn with him. But, when he went to dig it up, he was shocked to find it was not there. The disappearance of Crowley's ashes has remained a mystery ever since.

Well, when I read that, the light bulb went off in my head. I thought, man, if that's not a perfect set-up for a paranormal mystery novel, I don't know what is. So I let the idea rattle around in my head for several months and eventually I began sketching out a storyline. I didn't realize just how dark and disturbing the story would become and I had a hard time getting my head into a place where I could deal with it. The only redeeming factor is that, in the end, the human race is saved from a horrendously hideous mass extinction but only at a tragic cost. The story, itself, is quite an adventure but I doubt if I'll ever write another book where the darkness is quite that deep. :-)

My birthday is May 22, and I remember the appearance of that crop circle, Heather. I told my daughter it was a birthday gift to me. :)  My name adds up to 154. Or 144 + 10. Am I the next in a series? :)  And you chose the name Earth Flower while I chose Star Flower. Wonder when Moon Flower and Sun Flower will show up?  :)

Gary, I just read your Ouija story and got a tad creeped out myself. Great writing though. And I absolutely love the cover and the title!  I'll download The Ezekiel Code tomorrow. I'm in a hurry to hit dream-time now.

I agree with Illumination's advice about the Ouija board. Even though it's just a board made from common materials, the presence of the letters of the alphabet and the numbers make it a convenient device for communication. But communication with what? That's the question. Is it really communication with spirits of the dearly departed? Maybe. Is it communication with spirit energies of a demonic sort or even an angelic sort? Maybe. Or is it possibly a means by which the participant's own subconscious comes through? Possibly. Maybe it's a combination of all of these possibilities or maybe even something we haven't yet identified. There are a lot of theories out there about the phenomenon but they are all just theories, conjectures and personal beliefs. I guess the bottom line is that when you're using a Ouija board (or any of the other similar devices manufactured by companies other than Parker Bros., or even homemade boards), you're really dealing with the "Unknown". Anyway, that's just my opinion based on some pretty extensive experience with the phenomenon. :-)

Yes it's definitely not something to dabble with. If you're really keen you need to learn from the experienced ones but therein lies a problem as well. You will have to absolutely certain they do know what they're about. You also have to know how to cleanse and protect yourself and your surroundings thoroughly. Blessings

So its something that really is not worth even trying, I have a child I would never use it while shes around but I dont want to let something in and her be affected by it.. Im just so curious. It does frighten me though..

Personally I think you really have to know what you're doing before approaching OUIJA. I know people that have had some very unfortunate experiences with it. My family used it quite a lot as a family oracle and called it Aunt Jessie for some reason! Perhaps she came through for some of the aunts or something. I think there are discarnates who are ready and waiting for the opportunity to latch on to us. Sometimes we don't realise until it's too late. Blessings
