Client Question — Lately I've been really sleepy during the day... I don't sleep that well (really light sleeper) but that had never been a problem before; I could stay up all day without any problems. I'm guessing I should take some vitamins maybe that will give me more energy during the day.
Are there any good multi-vitamins that will do the job? Also my wife needs to take them because she gets out of work at 12:00am... sometimes-even 1 or 2am and she is always tired.
Answer - First of all lay off the computer and TV by 7PM. The computer vibe does not allow you to sleep... and also TV too... they get your mind going, the spectrum of the wave forms of TV and Computer causes people not to be able to sleep… science now calls this junk sleep.
Shift work will take 10 years off a person's life; this has been show over and over again in scientific studies. Working odd hours does not correspond to the circadian rhythms of the body… and that takes a toll on the body. Each organ in the body knows when you should be sleeping and when you should be awake... there are two little nodes of tissue that pulse off and on every second, something like a timer that keeps track of day and night… and knows if you are following your natural rhythm of life. Go to bed by 10PM and get up at 6AM — this is what Doctors in India recommend and also what I recommend.
There is a good formula for getting to sleep--I recommend "formula 303" which is great and also “Punjab Sleep Tea" which works great too! -- Both will help you get to sleep.
If you don't sleep well... no amount of vitamins are going to help... sleep is what you need.
