My Spirit (wrote this a long time ago in high school)

My spirit is like ashes
all s c a t t e r e d
here
and
there.
And when the wind does b l o w,
I am c a r r i e d through
the air.
I know not where, my destiny lies
or where my f l i g h t will end,
but while I am here, beside you,
my heart I will freely lend
