Yea the weather here throughout the entire US has been really nice and mild this winter.. really not to much snow .  Here is Arizona we have had some amazing days.  Great for hiking. Today we had some well needed rain.

The ascension will not happen for all at the same time.  I know that many will be left here so there may be an attempt to reach them and help them change their understanding.

I have had contact with deceased loved ones, but not in the way you would think.  My grandmother will come and sit on the end of the bed or leave pennies.  My husband's father leaves dimes and there was a time during our 7th year of marriage where we were fighting a lot.  He got mad at us for the fighting and manifested himself for a moment as his physical body long enough to let us know to stop it.  They don't really reside anywhere, they have rejoined the Creator energy, so I guess you could say they exist everywhere.

As far as the angels go, Arch Angel Michael has been my friend since he was created.  We speak to each other in a language I have come to call Celestial.  He hangs around when he is not busy.  You want a good idea of what they are like, listen to the song "Right in Two"  by Tool.  It is Michael's favorite song, he calls it "the angel song"

As far as the darker side of yourself goes, you first have to find out who you are fully and the darker side will be the exact opposite of that.  It may be a being or it may be energy it just depends upon who you are and which part of Divinity you are from.

I understand about your husband thinking you went mad, I am lucky because I never incarnate without my balance twin and our sons are just as odd as we are.  We have two sons that I gave birth to, one is 5'8" and blonde and light skinned, the other is 6'5" and very dark skinned and dark haired.  Then we have an adopted son who is the son of a friend of mine who passed from Lupus.  She requested we take over as his parents as her dying wish.  He was originally my son's best friend and now he is their brother from another mother.  If they hadn't grown up with some intense weirdness they would probably all think I was insane.
