Well, actually it wasn't such a big deal. A guy was looking to make a symphonic metal band and he gave as reference bands as Nightwish, Within Temptation, Therion and Evanescence.
I sang an Evanescence song in the audition (Breathe no more) and the guy was very impressed, so he chose me! he also asked if I was interested in spirituality, he said he could notice that in my voice.
Anyway, I did some practices and all, but the band was just beginning and I had some problems with the songs the guy had composed... the register needed was a bit higher than mine and I needed a lot of practice to get there. I didn't have the time as college was my priority at that time so I ended up leaving. Also, I was studying to be an English teacher and hated the pronunciation I had to give to the song... he composed the songs in English but he's not good at it so the pronuniation was terrible! lol and I kept pronouncing the right way haha, which was the wrong way for the song.
I did keep the friendship with him and he taught me a lot of metaphysics later. He didnt succeed in creating the band though...
Thank You for your kind thoughts & words my friend. Yes, Christmas Day was quite the event here - lemon-sized hailstones, city-wide flooding and even a tornado! New Year's Day was quite the opposite though...now we're sweltering in 40-degree C. heat (that's 104-degrees Fahrenheit)! Ahh, you just gotta love our craaaaazy weather downunder! Sending lots of warmth'n'sunshine to You buddy!
Wishing You & your family a ONEderful 2012 - To Infinity & Beyond!
I'm just happy that I'm with my family and that we're doing alright :P but I rarely drink, and most of the time when I drink I get real happy. I LOVE that. How's your family doing by the way?? How's ur wife feeling? And you?
Hi my dear friend - yes it was a thrilling experience. I watched this mans aura glow all day - 9 hours of non teleprompted speech. The energies flowing off the crowd was electric! For the first half hour, my body tingled from head to toe. When I got into Ickes energy - wow! Humble and GENUINE.
My only regret with stepping up to the plate, is that my inbox gets so overloaded, wonderful people like yourself don't get the time that is deserved. I miss the old days where we all connected at will :)
